Washington has been on fire for the better part of 4 months now. They have a 3-headed monster atop their rotation and they have one of the fastest guys in baseball leading off for them, and guys like him wreak havoc in playoff games. What leads you to believe the Yankees would just sweep them?

To me, the biggest downside the Nats are facing is a week long hiatus. Baseball is so dependent upon rhythm, we've seen teams be juggernauts through the first two rounds and then fall completely flat in the WS. But if that's the reason the Yankees could sweep, then why couldn't the Astros do the same?

And if the Astros beat the Yankees, why would the Nationals have an easier time with them as opposed to the Yankees, against whom they would stand zero chance?
