I could see him dying at the beginning of H20. Based on having that lady that shared two scenes with him and his daughter rotating as the opening kills, they obviously wanted someone connected to Loomis in lieu of Loomis himself.
The only thing is, I wonder how Pleasance would take that. Before he died, he said he'd like to do 22 Halloween movies or something like that. He might've considered dying in the first 10 minutes a slap to the face.
