In all seriousness though, the Chicago thing isn't completely crazy-- at least from Brady's perspective. I wouldn't be surprised if Brady wasn't here next year, and it won't be due to retirement. They gave him a fake contract extension knowing he was going to have less weapons to work with this season. If they wouldn't give him the money he wanted at 42, you think they're going to give it to him at 43, after a down statistical year? I hear you, but are you saying they’re gonna play hardball with Brady? I mean, hasn’t he earned by now whatever he wants, or will even he be a victim of “the Patriot Way?” They played hardball with him already, that's why he's playing under that bogus 'extension' right now. Remember, Bill wanted to keep Garoppolo, Kraft basically forced him to make that trade. Belichick loves how shitty the offense looks this year, you could see it on his face at the end of the Bills game. He wants to prove he can win without Brady. Brady just wants to play football until he can't anymore, the Patriots will never let him do that. I wouldn't be stunned if Brady comes back next year on a 1 year deal for a shitload of cash, but I also wouldn't be shocked if he walked. I never would've believed that even three years ago, but the dynamic between Brady and Belichick has changed. Maybe it's ego, maybe it is simply 'the Patriot Way' from Belichick's perspective; but Brady wants to play until he's 45 or whatever and there's zero chance that happens here.
