I'm no fan of George W. Bush, but I gotta say, one of the most positive things that could possibly come out of the awfulness of 9/11 was when President Bush threw the first pitch at Yankees Stadium.

Standing alone on the mound at Yankees Stadium, an open target, he calmly and confidently threw a strike right down the middle of the plate. A true middle finger to anyone who thought the USA would stay down after the sucker-punch of that awful day. I was proud of our President, our country, and our greatest sport.
