NFL Week 7 Power Rankings

Don't get me wrong Rey, I understand that the Patriots have been the class of the NFL for the last 20 or so years. The fact that they play in the AFC East is almost completely irrelevant as you've pointed out; they've had a high level of consistent success against every division in the league. As far as them "not worrying about the division games", that's nonsense. Look, we all saw how Patriots fans acted just last season when it looked like there was a chance the Pats might NOT get a first round bye and have to settle for a lowly wild card spot. They acted like the fucking sky was falling. And yes, that was a slight. That is literally the only slight I, and really any intelligent football fan (in other words, not guys like WarrenPeace) have in our limited arsenal when it comes to the Patriots. "Ha ha, your team might not get a first round bye this year and your fans are upset, what a bunch of losers!" Well, all that proves is that a first round bye is very much in their plans each and every year. That means they very much do have to worry about each and every game, lowly Dolphins or no, who they somehow still find a way to lose to almost every season. How many times did it look like the Patriots were finished last year? They lost to the damn Titans. They lost to Miami and fucking Ryan Tannehill of all people got to joke that Gronk is slow. They lost to Matt Patricia's Lions. And they STILL went on to win the Super Bowl. Think about that people. By their standards it was a relatively lacklustre year for them and they STILL WON THE SUPER BOWL. The rest of us can only dream of such a fucking year. At this point there is absolutely no retort any of us can make to try and play down their achievements and level of consistency. All we have are slim hopes that maybe, just MAYBE, they won't win the Super Bowl THIS year? Maybe?

In other words, their success is fully earned and the rest of us just have to eat it at this point.
