Standing alone on the mound at Yankees Stadium, an open target, he calmly and confidently threw a strike right down the middle of the plate. A true middle finger to anyone who thought the USA would stay down after the sucker-punch of that awful day. I was proud of our President, our country, and our greatest sport.

And yet that is all forgotten about and no one else gives a damn at all about it.
