Bernard Slade was nominated for a Tony Award for writing the play, Same Time, Next Year, and later received an Oscar nomination for adapting it to the screen.
He is also famous for creating the television shows, The Partridge Family and The Flying Nun. He was married to actress Jill Foster for 64 years before her death in 2017.
