I totally agree with you!
Even though I also hate horse racing the UK treats them a hell of a lot better than here in the USA.
I dunno if you get HBO but the excellent investigative reporting sports series "Real Sports" did a great piece on this showing why everyone should be against horse racing.
Especially in America where they drug them like crazy and MAKE these animal slaves run even if slightly injured where they may get more seriously injured and then killed.
It is an abusive animal cruel "sport" that needs to end around the world.
That even goes for where they make them jump.
Sports should only be called sports of those who make the efforts themselves and by choice without being forced and without any abuse.
There's a surprise.
