I really enjoyed personally over the years too
. There's nothing wrong with being nostalgic on this jayhn1111
. 
I really do think it's a very good movie. It has a big cult following. What really hurt the success of the movie was that it was taken out of the theaters very quickly because of the negative publicity surrounding some other youth gang films at the time like Warriors and all that. And it had very good rock music in it. Well at least for my taste I thought so 
That's exactly how I feel about the film Xanadu 1980
.Of course even though it had negative reviews by the critics
. I almost never go by what film critics say about films anyway
. I usually make my own judgements or decisions
when it comes to films I wish to view and enjoy too
.So for me the Xanadu film will always
have a special place in my heart
and good memories of it too
. IMPO - It had a bit of everything -
a basic & uncomplicated storyline ,
an awesome memorable cast
( like Gene Kelly & Olivia Newton-John ) ,
and an excellent soundtrack as well
( music by the band ELO & Olivia Newton-John too )
. So I totally understand how you feel
about the film Over The Edge
. I will definitely be looking out for this one on cable too
