Anyhoo, back on point. The Expos were playing great baseball by the time the season shut down and the Braves were not guaranteed a playoff spot as the Astros were hot on their heels as well. The Yankees were good but, well, Buck Showalter. And people discount Ken Hill's contribution to the Expo pitching rotation. He was 16-5 at seasons end. I didn't see any NL team beating them.
