The best Arnold movies are clearly the ones prior to his heart operation. Starting with End of Days, something changed. Maybe it was just age, but it's like he lost some of his natural charisma and charm and became more self-aware, making him seem awkward. Like he forgot how to be comfortable in front of the camera. Top 10 - Terminator 2 Judgement Day Total Recall True Lies Conan The Barbarian Predator Twins The Running Man The Terminator Commando Kindergarten Cop I think it started going downhill with The Last Action Hero. He spoofed himself and the genre, there was really no coming back from that. I thought True Lies was awful and anything after that was completely forgettable. Yeah, he definitely had some misfires with Last Action Hero, Junior, Jingle All The Way, Eraser, etc., but you could see he was still the old Arnold. He just wasn't making the best decisions when it came to picking movie projects. I actually think True Lies is one of his better films.
But then the heart surgery happened, and he became noticeably different in front of the camera. Maybe the experience changed him or maybe it was just age. It just seemed like he lost something and could no longer act natural on screen.
