Ah, seafood is wonderful for Thanksgiving. The Dungeness crab season, usually, opens just before Thanksgiving. There have been some glitches in a couple of the past years. Here's hoping for success, this year! Dungeness is great! any recent news??! I haven't heard any recent news about a start date, yet. But, neither have I heard any warnings that the season might be in jeopardy. I think that's a good sign. If it's a "go," we should hear soon. I'll let you know. My understanding is that the various states set the seasonal limits. In California, it's usually November-April. But, I was in Seattle/Port Angeles, last July, and I had Dungeness crab. The recent problems that we have had was when the water was warm enough to allow a bacteria (can't recall the name), to thrive, and pose potential danger.
