Dungeness is great! any recent news??! I haven't heard any recent news about a start date, yet. But, neither have I heard any warnings that the season might be in jeopardy. I think that's a good sign. If it's a "go," we should hear soon. I'll let you know. My understanding is that the various states set the seasonal limits. In California, it's usually November-April. But, I was in Seattle/Port Angeles, last July, and I had Dungeness crab. The recent problems that we have had was when the water was warm enough to allow a bacteria (can't recall the name), to thrive, and pose potential danger. UPDATE: Evidently there will be a slight delay to the opening of "the season," due to the migration patterns of whales/turtles.
