And you'll still get the register receipt at most of their stores. did you even try? The answer is no, because if you had, you would have gotten an email receipt. I have a cvs card and all of my receipts go straight to email. Not all CVS stores offer the option of email only as of yet, although it was implemented in 2016. Also, it's not offered as an option at checkout: you have to ask a cashier to set you up. Not all customers are aware of this by any means, and the chain doesn't aggressively push the format. You can sign up for an app if you use a mobile phone. As I have no need for one, that's not an option--and I'd hardly rush out to get one just so I could avail myself of this. And at any rate, none of that alters the fact that a number of other stores who use loyalty cards still generate a lot of waste paper at the checkout.
