haven't yet decided for sure ,but it's between bone in roast pork loin or cornish game hens, along with some other yet to be decided stuff.there's only the two of us so it won't be a really big meal. Edit: got the supermarket circular yesterday and centercut bone in porkloin chops are on sale for $1.79 lb.called today and they will give me a roast for the same price. the mrs somehow finagled two church boxes of food which means we'll get two frozen turkeys and a bunch of other stuff.I'm still gonna get the pork roast and freeze it since this is such a good deal.I'll cook one turkey and give the other away to someone since we don't have enough freezer room for another turkey and the roast and whatever other frozen stuff we get shopping this week. sounds like some great options! haven't seen cornish hens around these parts... i seem to recall cornish hens being in the poultry section of the market, but I'm kinda old and half brain dead.when I first posted i looked them up on the two main places we shop, shoprite and walmart and they both said they have them, but both markets are prone to being out of stock, especially walmart.we're hitting both spots this wednesday so i'll post what was happening.that said,i always used to do the hens a few times a year and liked 'em,so hoefully i'll get some before years end.
