 Obviously my point was that movies had restrictions on what they could show during the classic era, especially in the U.S. I always found the kissing a bit silly in older movies. I don't understand what the big deal was about showing open mouth kissing. I understand not showing sex scenes and nudity, but some of the restrictions were ridiculous. Or the good old separate beds for a married couple, in their own house, in their own room (seen here in Rebel without a cause):
Yup, sex didn't exist back then. The separate bed thing is beyond ridiculous. That is actually much sillier than the kissing restrictions. They could show a man hitting on a women, kissing a women and hugging and holding a women, but they couldn't show them in the same bed not doing any of those things. But using Natalie Wood's lap as a pillow, that's all good.
