America needs more Patriotic holidays. Patriots Day (here in Massachusetts, not to be confused with 'Patriot Day' on 9/11), Armed Forces Day, Flag Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day. Military flyovers at sporting events. The Armed Forces Bowl, not to be confused with the Military Bowl.

I'm a patriotic American. Not the kind that makes halfass well wishes on TV around Veterans Day. I mean honest patriotism. This country means something to me. And even I'm disturbed by how much our culture revolves around the military these days. Ironically, Eisenhower would agree with me.
