That could be why Rogers was such a selfish asshole who was willing to put his fellow soldiers at risk on the battlefield. Because Rogers probably felt that he got dealt a bad hand, with his severe health problems. So Rogers didn't give a shit that his fellow soldiers would have to risk their lives to fight his battles on the battlefield. If someone in a wheelchair wanted to serve, does that make them a selfish asshole? If they wanted to serve by selling war bonds or becoming a recruiter, then that's not selfish. But if they want to go out in the field and fight the enemy, that Yes, that is selfish because they're a liability on the battlefield and that would put their fellow soldiers at risk.
