I stopped watching AHS after Freak Show, and I couldn't even finish the first season of that fucking Scream Queens. Being a slasher fan and not having a lot of options, I was thinking about watching this, but these replies have me tepid that it suffers from the usual Murphy pitfalls of convoluted stupidity. I have seen the first 5 seasons of AHS. I approached season 5 HOTEL with trepidation because Jessica Lange wasn't starring in it, but I ended up really loving it. It is difficult for me to single out a favorite and emotions ran high in season 2 and 4, but I just loved the look and atmosphere of 5. Like a cross between The Shining and The Hunger.
