I'm going to my local comic-con tomorrow for the weekend and plan on grabbing some DC books (Not single issues, but compilations/trades) so I can start immersing myself into the DC universe (I'm a newb with only the basic knowledge of Superman & Batman when it comes to certain storylines, character relationships, and personalities). I have however started watching Justice League on Netflix with my best friend who's a comic fan and have fallen in love with Young Justice. I also have a DC Comics Encyclopedia that I got for Christmas but unfortunately haven't really been able to take a good look at due to my sheer laziness... đ Who are some good DC characters to read to jump into the universe? Martian Manhunter Son of Mars is a good read and gives a background to one of DC's (IMHO) better and interesting characters who is not used enough.  |
