Typical Philly lunatics. They should be grateful to be in the presence of the Boston Celtics, but instead act like animals. Nothing changes. There is a point to be made about the announcers and the different attitudes in the Pacers brawl and this one. In the early 80s, you have Dick Stockton defending the fans and giving Cornbread Maxwell shit for going into the stands, and rightfully so btw. Fast forward 20 years later, we are now in a society that caters to the spoiled pompous athlete, and to prove that you have that corporate shill Mike Breem totally blaming the fans for the Pacers jumping into the stands and swinging at innocent people. Interesting comparison between the two events. Stockton used to be one of my favorite commentators to listen to. He did an Eagles game a couple of weeks back - it was just sad to listen to - i.e. all the miscues in the booth. Kind of felt bad for him. Reminded me of listening to my Grandfather blast certain Phillies players during a game and they hadn't played for them in like 10 years Trying to think of some legends who just commentated for far too long and it was a sad listen towards the end (we have a ton locally but I don't think a lot of posters here would recognize the names - well maybe - Harry Kalas, Richie Ashburn, Gene Hart) - Pat Summerall comes to mind. Summerall and Madden were by far my favorite football commentators of All-Time - but Pat's final year or so was a tough listen IMO.
