Older/aged Sean actually works better upon re-watches here for me (not DAF though, that disgraceful movie).  Even Blofeld, he's not supposed to be some peak physical menace, of course he's an undersized megalomaniac... which also took me re-watches to appreciate.
The Japanese-ing of Bond is bad, but it's not brutal - they use makeup techniques on him to blend in under hat with the 'fishermen' ninjas... that's not ideal but I think not as racist either.
