Its happened before. Johnny Unitas. He was drafted by Pittsburgh and cut, but the Steelers coach never gave him a chance. But no one could have foreseen that he did in Baltimore. Almost certainly, Brady was helped by being out of the spotlight his first year. Would he have bombed anywhere else? I doubt it, if he was given any kind of a chance and if he had decent players around him when he got the chance. Put 2nd year Brady on the 2019 Bengals, he bombs. No one could work with that rag tag circus. But I don't thinks he's a system QB. He has smarts, he works his ass off. Put him on a team with decent receivers and someone to block and he's a good QB. Six rings and 14 Pro Bowl appearances, no.
