While I can't get too excited about the CFL... I need more teams in a league nowadays, & the season is probably 3-5 weeks too long... I love & appreciate the Grey Cup. It's arguably on our Mt. Rushmore of nationally interested sporting events - Grey Cup, World Jr's Hockey, The Brier, & Stanley Cup Final. The problem is that the CFL can't generate enough interest south of the border and hampered by a smaller operating budget. They tried multiple expansions into the U.S. in the past and I think once had a team in Mexico City but it always retracted back to Canadian only teams.
