Wow, that's so good, thanks. Some of their interplay on their rockier songs I find exciting.
Glad you enjoyed it.  When I think about Prog Rock, I sometimes forget about Kansas. I have a strong memory association with music. Maybe it's a common thing. Certain songs and albums remind me of people, places or a chapter in my life. I have some Kansas in my collection, but I don't often listen to them. When I do, though, it's like revisiting old friends.
Reading about them, it seems their roots are in the origins of the progressive rock movement, but they're one of those bands that only recorded some years later. I must confess, I love their pure, unadulterated swagger and the intricacy of their musicianship in reaching it; it's just adrenalising to me as a listener, and they seem like a bunch of fun characters.
