My Favorite Year + Victor/Victoria
A young Jewish writer is assigned the task of overseeing a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman who's scheduled to appear on the comedy show he writes for. Hilarity ensues when the impersonator's extended entourage of gangsters and gay men mixes with the decidedly straight Jewish crew, including her lover King Marchand and the star of the show, King Kaiser. Also thrown into the mix are the real-life nemeses of both the groups, gangsters Sal Andratti and Boss Rojek.
