I discovered a new favourite non-English language show after watching Season 1 of the Italian-American drama television series My Brilliant Friend on DVD.

It's adapted from the first of four novels by author Elena Ferrante.
I wasn't sure about the show to begin with, but was interested in it after watching the trailer. About halfway through, I started really getting into the show, and by the end of the season I was wishing to continue watching it/annoyed that I have to wait for Season 2.
I may not have always understood everything that was going on in the show or characters' actions, and it was tough to watch at times, but I found it pretty engrossing. It's been quite a while since I was this into a non-English language series.
