They've been far better, since the MCU started in 2008, we've had Punisher Warzone, X-men Origins Wolverine, Ghost Rider 2, The Amazing Spider-man 2, Fantastic Four, X-men Apocalypse, Venom and Dark Phoenix which have all been worse than the worst MCU movie which is probably Thor Dark World.

They'd be singled out now because they've become such a dominate force in the industry, before they did well but they used to just be other big movies amongst the crowd. Now pretty much every one of these MCU is enormous, five out of the last six movies have made over a billion. They overshadow other movies, this year 3 out of the 4 biggest movies have been MCU movies. Last year the two biggest movies were MCU movies.

Looks like you didnt take in Martys comments. They make money because they are themepark movies. The fact a crappy movie like Captain marvel can make a billion should prove it to you
