If it was Twilight series that was getting this much popularity, then I can assure you that just about every single filmmakers would start trashing the series - and rightfully so, because those films are actually terrible.
Also, the fact that you're trying to validate your claim by citing an unprofessional @$$ who took his rage out on casts and crews is quite hilarious. Who are you going to cite next? Friedberg/Seltzer?
Wrong. They were popular between 2006-2014 as well when the genre was respected with movies like Batman Begins, Avengers, Dark Knight Rises and First class. Now all you have is 1 studio dominating with their theme park kid friendly movies so of course Scorsese and the others would say something now and not 6 years ago.
Trank is just the latest amongst Hollywood artists so im citing him, even moreso that hes been involved in the comic book genre with Chronicle and Fan4stic and is still ripping marvel studios. That should tell you a lot. Now mcu cultists have driven him off twitter by probably giving him death threats,no surprises there

This was the time when we've seen some disappointing films like X-Men: The Last Stand, Superman Returns, Spider-Man 3, Watchmen (to some extent), The Amazing Spider-Man, and Man of Steel. Even MCU still didn't find its solid footing at the time because Perlmutter was an insufferable @$$hat - just like you.
And let's not forget films that were widely disliked or even hated like Fantastic Four: The Rise of Silver Surfer, Punisher: War Zone, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. If anything, comic book films have seen a huge improvement since 2014 and the only reason why it's popular to trash MCU now is because it's one of the most dominant film franchises of today.
Also, Josh Trank is a film artist?!

This is an unprofessional hack who got into a fight with the studio and took it out on casts and crews and didn't even TRY to do his job properly. Since this is the guy who caused all those destruction on Fantastic Four series, can you really blame fans who would rightfully be angry at him (minus ones who actually resorted to death threats)?
