The first act of the movie was good but after the time jump its a totally different movie and you can clearly notice. Trank isnt throwing any stones hes simply giving an opinion that the first 5 minutes of Irishman has more depth than the entire MCU. I dont necessarily fully agree with that but he obviously cares a lot about cinema and is strong willed enough to come out and say it.

Josh Trank is really burning out. I feel sorry for him. I liked Chronicle. Chronicle was an interesting rebuttal to the trope that people just become superheroes when they get powers. Why did nobody think of this before? If you've been bullied all your life and are suddenly endowed with powers, your loyalty is still to yourself. It was an interesting film about the dark side of using your powers.

The idea for chronicle was good and novel but i dislike found footage movies.

Moving on, yeah, I have no idea what the MCU did to him. He threw his own product under the bus. Word on the street is Fox threw their weight around with him on the set (which, to be fair, is really not the first time a studio's ever interfered) and yeah, it won't be the last time. He seems like he's coming from a hurt place and I don't wish him extra pain, but it's kind of rich to trot out "I care about cinema" with his filmography. Who's he trying to kid? I know he's in pain but I have better things to do than let his pain roll over what I like.

He doesnt need a solid filmography for his opinion to carry any more weight. Its a domino effect after the first person decided to publicy out MCU movies and others had the courage to step forward. You can bet that more and more people will say the same thing in the next few months [/quote]

Stop trying to shift the blame to someone else when Trank showed no respect to the source material in the first place.
