Mostly where it concerns the issue of time travel and how to stop the whole "kill all Mutants" thing from getting started. In other words, the whole premise of the movie is deeply flawed.

The way time-travel works in this movie... doesn't. It doesn't work. Like in the comics, the mind of one of the X-Men is sent back in time to possess the poor unsuspecting body of their past self. So far so good. And the mutant who is going to be sending the traveler back in time is, of course, one of the many time-manipulating mutants. Velocidad? Tempus? Majik? ...Wait, it's Kitty Pryde? Kitty, for real? Okay, then.

Silly nitpick. Kittys time phasing powers may have been a bit random but they are insignificant to the plot and it gives her something to do. I woulda preferred if she was the one going back in time but wolverine was fine.

Why does Kitty Pryde suddenly have the power to send people back in time? Well, isn’t in obvious? Kitty’s powers allow her to phase through walls, and what is time but... um...? Nope, I got nothing. This doesn't even work within the realms of her powers, because her powers send THE BODY (with the mind still attached, granted) through physical objects. Never has Kitty's powers just sent somebody's mind elsewhere. Why not just have Cyclops shoot a hole in the Time Wall, or something? It would make about as much sense.

And course, Wolverine is the one going back because Fox hasn't figured out that people are tired of him instead of Xavier because the strain of the journey would tear Xavier’s mind apart (oh, bullshit!) but Wolverine’s got that healing factor so he’ll be fine. Last time I checked, his healing ability didn't repair his amnesia, but hey, what do I know?

Kitty phased consciousness' through time. If you really want to get technical then here. When kitty phases through walls, she is able to teleport her bodys atoms through the wall to bypass the nuclear repellent force that would stop her phasing. In other words she is momentarily entering the quantum world (as in Endgame) to phase through matter. If she's able to phase through a neural network of a brain, she could send that consciousness into the quantum realm and back in time.

Your fretting too much on the mechanics when its not important to the plot. Go bak and watch Endgame where theres a myriad of over-complicated nonsense for time travel to work like time gps devices, quantum suits and pym particles lmao

I've only apparently paid more attention to their powers than the filmmakers.

Anyway, Logan is being sent back to 1973, because Mystique assassinated a scientist named Bolivar Trask, the invent or of the Sentinels. Mystique was then captured and her DNA was used to create even more powerful Sentinels... Wait, what? No. Put on the breaks. What?! That is not how Mystique’s powers work! She can’t turn herself into metal or ice or fire, she just changes her appearance. In the first movie, her fake Wolverine claws were easily shredded by the real deal! A MOVIE THE DIRECTOR OF THIS MESS MADE!

Trask used Mistiques DNA as a basis for the sentinels like stem cells. He then adapted it whilst combing Rogues abilties of power absorption (who in the Rogue cut is also being experimented on) to create super sentinels.

Il tell you whats 10x more silly, the fact ionman can hold the gaunlet with all the gems at the end of endgame and not get instantly incinerated

Back to topic, Wolverine has to stop Mystique and Magneto from ruining everything for everyone, because Magneto is also going to kill Richard Nixon.

no because Magneto killing Nixon was known by anyone but young magneto himself. The original plan was for wolverine to go back in time and unite both Xavier and Magneto in friendship to stop Mistique.

The bad future happens because Mistique kills trask in public and Trasks sentinel programme gets green lit by government, when prior it was suspended. The act of Mistique assassinating Trask is what triggers the sentinels. Stop Mistique doing this and you stop the bad future....which is what happenz. Your Hitler apology is wrong. The rabbi would be sent back to stop Hitler ever getting into power in the first place.

In the narrative of this film, Richard Nixon gave the Mutants a pardon? Okay, let's frame this. From Nixon's perspective, Magneto DROPPED A FREAKING STADIUM ON THE FREAKING WHITE HOUSE as a show of power before moving in for the kill on Nixon and his Cabinet, and was only stopped at the last minute by the same mutant who'd just tried to kill Trask earlier that day! Then the guy who dropped a stadium on The White House for the intent purposes of assassinating the President and his Cabinet was allowed to get away by yet another mutant, and this one has the power to take over people's brains to use as his meat puppets! And Nixon's just okay with this?

Hahahahah this is the best you got. Magneto knew he was fucked thats why he retired and disappeared to live a quiet life in Poland. He was still a wanted man so yeah the government was actively trying to hunt him down after DOFP. Nixon gave a pardon to mutants because he witnessed first hand that the good mutants were doing everything to stop Magneto. Remember this was the first time ever that mutants became had a visible appearance in public. Nixon went from fearing the unknown to trusting them because they nearly died trying to save his life.

So Fant4stic is better than it actually is because just about every single MCU fans AND comics fans rightfully despise it? How does that even work?
