I hate weddings and wedding receptions.
When we got married, it was mid summer. On the invitation, we said, "Casual dress, but not TOO casual". And we had a cookout. Burgers, hot dogs, shit like that. We wanted to have a fun party, not the receptions that you have been to 10,000 times. Same old meat tray, potato salad, sticky fucking rigatoni all the inedible shit. The way some people reacted, you would have thought it was clothing optional and we were sacrificing small animals to Satan. And who the fuck want to wear a suit and a dress in August, let alone a gown or a tux? We heard quite a few times "This isn't a wedding reception, no dollar dance, no throwing the garder, no crummy food". Fuck them.
