Scorsese is just jealous that MCU movies is seen in 1000 theaters, while his film, The Irishman, was shown in limited theaters and Netflix. And I saw The Irishman, very good movie I might add. Yeah, unfortunately, Netflix doesn't have a very good relationship with cinema chains. It's quite likely that Chadwick Boseman is right about the whole situation - Scorsese is saying these things because his film is not very likely to do well at the Oscar ceremony this year because of the whole Netflix thing. Well, he's a beloved figure in the Oscar lore, so his film could do potentially better than Roma last year.
