It's quite likely that Chadwick Boseman is right about the whole situation - Scorsese is saying these things because his film is not very likely to do well at the Oscar ceremony this year because of the whole Netflix thing.

Well, he's a beloved figure in the Oscar lore, so his film could do potentially better than Roma last year.

It certainly could, but we have quite a lot of good films this year.

Honestly, I'm starting to like this unpredictability that we have this year. There are so many good films from both blockbuster AND "art house" fronts.
