A truly devastating song that spans all the emotions, from sadness to rage to catharsis.
I think this is genius. Very sharp lyrics skewering everything about current day racism, awesome arrangements with some great sampling of a 70s cult film, Daveed being extremely talented, and all in a bizarre and striking video.
An explosion of energy and colour, probably the most danceable song I've heard all year. The official music video looks cool too with its painterly visuals but their live performances of it are even better which is what I've linked. Shabaka is an unstoppable force.
Another blast of energy, this time with lots of guitars and Japanese women. The closest thing to dethroning Melt-Banana yet.
Unbelievably gorgeous and yet so tragic. With her unique dramatic style and theatrical videos complete with CGI creatures and lavish costumes I think she's the closest thing to 90s Björk we've got.
Some quietly angry yet optimistic punky folk that encapsulates everything about modern Britain in just over 7 minutes. This is proper Brexit music and that chorus is both catchy and highly relatable.
Prefuse 73-sounding production and some great nostalgic storytelling and excellent flow. Easily the highlight of the album.
