As far as the final season goes...I'm hoping for the best, but kind of expecting the worst.
If you can't wait for the Season 6 premiere, there's already been a YouTube video released on the final season's opening minutes.
Looks like Ivar's grown himself a 'Jesus beard' (as if the Ivar fanboys/fangirls didn't regard him as 'godly' enough already).
