So then your answer is that you're going to continue to tolerate trolls who have no intention of holding conversations in good faith. It's your board I guess. Let it be as shitty as you want I suppose.
Only to an extent that it doesn't go too far. Some of these "troll" threads do create a bit of a back forth and as long as its on topic I'll leave people to it. If it's something like Summers last thread though then I'll just lock it, no bother.
I never aimed to make the place perfect, just better.
This board used to be full of off topic nonsense. People would post threads about DC on the Marvel board on spite. Constant Marvel vs DC arguments everywhere you turned. People used to argue but not about the MCU but just personally to the point there was that whole Raptor/Poelzig Threatening/Racist debacle. Threads made about other users to make fun of them. Most of the threads on the board would be negative.
We don't really have that now. At worst, there's a few threads that contain some ribbing and some have to be locked.
It's all pretty trivial at this point.
I have to agree with Scabab here, I dont think he has the power to ban people.
I definitely can't ban or unban people nor can I can check IP addresses. I can edit, delete, move and sticky posts and that's it. I can ask the Admin to ban someone though.
Archs stance on his ban is confusing to say the least. Apparently not only did he keep asking to be banned rather than just self delete which would be much quicker for everyone but I complied with his request and then felt compelled to lie about it afterwards. I don't even know he came back, I was led to believe the ban was permanent at the time.
In any case, I had been deleting the last messages on this back and forth so as to not overtake the topic but it seems people have had enough to say about Josh Trank, Charzhino is banned and there'd be too many posts to delete now so let's this wrap so I can just lock the whole thread tomorrow.
