Revolution 9 written by John with help from George and Yoko. 'Nuff said. Dig a Pony by Lennon is also pretty awful (he agreed). To be fair, Revolution 9 isn't really a song. I wonder if John liked Paul before Yoko came into the picture. Of course he did. They were like brothers. Everyone reads the common knowledge of the Beatles demise in 1969, or 'exploding' in 64, or even them playing Hamburg 1962, but? Paul did his first gig with John in 1957, and George early 1958. Man, that's 12 of the most formative yeas in most peoples lives. In other words, their times as teenagers just being buddies in a group project was as long as their period of Beatles fame. That means, being broke, hitching rides, swapping GF's, pissing on the school principal were all shared experiences for these guys. Imagine you went to school, worked with, and did everything you did together from when you were 16 to the time you were 30 ish? Even if it all ends sloppily, do ya think those three hated eachother? I doubt it, and none of them ever used those terms either. Sibling rivalries is what it seemed to me. I used 'the three of them' because Ringo came into the picture 4+ years after everyone else. From what I understand, they were all OK when there were no lawyers around, which was rare in the early mid 1970's. Paul and John had a particularly competitive thing going on going back to being kids. It remained until John died (probably). Quietly, when the Beatles were breaking up? George's problems had mostly to do with John. Strange how, through time, McCartney became the all purpose bad guy. Probably because his enthusiastic self promotion rubs people the wrong way. The idea they 'hated each other' is nonsense to anyone who reads, and can relate their life experiences on to other peoples. IMO.
