anyone live in any area populated by serial killers?

I'm not aware of any searches for a serial killer, now. But, the Bay Area lived through the infamous "Zodiac," whose identity has yet to be positively identified ... although, there are a handful of "possibles." And, as far as I know, they're all dead. So, I don't know if we'll ever be absolutely sure.
