When I think 'Christmas movie' the first movie that comes to mind for me (which I doubt anything will beat it in terms of more legitimate Christmas movie) is...
1)Christmas Vacation (1989) - 7/10 (within my Top 153 movies)
that's pretty clear cut for legitimate Christmas movies (many movies others are listing ain't legitimate Christmas movies) as nothing else I am aware of would be above a 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up) off the top of my head.
p.s. some of the other movies listed by others in here are solid but I don't see them as Christmas movies like The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) etc.
