Woman Searched "What To Do If Your Husband Is Upset You Are Pregnant" Before Her Murder
"Court documents reveal that engineer Jennifer Rothwell was six weeks pregnant, and that her husband, Beau Rothwell, was possibly upset about that when she was killed."

"Heartbreaking searches made by a Missouri chemical engineer before she was killed reveal that her husband, now accused of murdering her, may have been upset that she was pregnant.
Jennifer Rothwell, 28, was six weeks pregnant and used her cell phone to search “what to do if your husband is upset you are pregnant” shortly before she vanished, newly released court records obtained by KTVI in St. Louis reveal.
Rothwell’s body was found in a wooded area off a highway on November 18, a week after she vanished. Her husband, 28-year-old Beau Rothwell, was arrested and charged with evidence tampering before her body was even found, on November 14. He was charged with second degree murder a day later, also before Rothwell was found.
Investigators believe he killed her on Nov. 11, the same day he was allegedly captured on video buying bleach, carpet cleaner, and gloves. Jennifer, a chemical engineer for DuPont, was reported missing the next day after she didn’t show up for work, according to the Riverfront Times, a St. Louis publication.
In the newly released court records, an investigator wrote, “This purchase was oddly at a time during a major snow event involving dangerous driving conditions and was also contradictory to Beau Rothwell’s statement that he was home with his wife all night,” the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports. He had allegedly claimed he was watching cooking shows with her at the time of the purchases.
Investigators also claim a carpet had been soaked with bleach in an attempt to conceal large blood spots. The blood allegedly soaked into the pad that rests underneath the carpet, which investigators describe in their probable cause statement as "evidence of the crime of murder,” the Riverfront Times reports.
Beau, who also works as an engineer, posted about his wife’s disappearance on Facebook before his arrest on Wednesday, stating, “Some of you may have heard already, but last night my wife Jennifer went missing. I’ve filed a police report and the search is ongoing. Please, if you hear of anything or have any information it would be greatly appreciated.”
Beau claimed he last saw his wife the morning after her alleged killing. He missed four calls from his wife, according to phone records obtained by local outlet KMOV4.
Jennifer’s body was located after Beau allegedly gave information to investigators.
The Rothwells got married in 2015. Both met when they were engineering majors at the University of Missouri, according to local outlet KSDK.
It’s not clear if Beau has a lawyer who can speak on his behalf. He is being held on no bond."
