It is just action scene after action scene with barely any story stringing it together and filled with horrible dialogue and bad acting.

I tend to disagree when people bring up 'bad acting' as a fault with a movie in general simply because the odds are definitely against finding truly bad acting in a fairly known movie. you largely don't find decent name movies with acting that stands out in a bad way.

sure, it's not going to win a Oscar or anything but it could be easily worse.

There are different degrees of bad acting, just like there is different degrees of good acting. I never said the acting is AWFUL, but it is mediocre enough to ruin the experience of watching the movie.
