him and Charles Grodin were great together in Midnight run. Really funny. his character was supposed to be kind of annoying but likable. It was in the movie "Seems like Old Times" I thought he was less than likable

Midnight Run is an 80’s Classic. Grodin has a way about him to come across as both smug and insipid, but here, Ritt worked magic with both him and De Niro.

They just had a lot of chemistry together I felt. They made the viewer like the both of them even though they were both very flawed characters in their own way. And really funny together. I think it's been over 20 years since I watched it so I have to give this classic another look
