Midnight Run is an 80’s Classic. Grodin has a way about him to come across as both smug and insipid, but here, Ritt worked magic with both him and De Niro. They just had a lot of chemistry together I felt. They made the viewer like the both of them even though they were both very flawed characters in their own way. And really funny together. I think it's been over 20 years since I watched it so I have to give this classic another look Been a while since I last viewed as well. 2 A holes that you really wouldn't to hang out with, but the fun part is that they didn't want to hang around each other either, yet they both had a terrific rapport.
