I was in the mood for some brainless entertainment last night so I watched this one. It started well enough with that pretty spectacular sequence in Florence (it's refreshing to see a high-speed car chase with shootouts where bystanders don't miraculously go unscathed), but I can't say I agree with your overall assessment. It wasn't a complete waste of time but I expect my brainless entertainment to be a little less brainless.
