Eighty years later, should 'Gone with the Wind' be gone?

It's fine for a movie or tv show to have characters who are not socially acceptable by today's (or any day's) standards. That is not the same as condoning or celebrating a terrible ideal. I've read books on philosophies that I chose not to accept but now I have an understanding of those ideologies so I don't believe fat radio propagandists who call everyone that disagrees with them a communist. I know a communist is a specific thing, not the same as a socialist, or a fascist, and not a term for someone who doesn't accept American capitalism. Reading Marx doesn't make you a communist, it makes you educated. Reading Mark Twain doesn't make you a racist just because he wrote racist characters. And watching GWTW isn't going to make you a racist either.
