Pierre Gaspard-Huit has died at the age of 99. A popular figure in commercial cinema, Gaspard-Huit was considered a traditionalist and a classicist. He guided some of Europe's biggest stars in the 1950s and 1960s, directing such beloved entities as 'The Bride Is Much Too Beautiful' (1956), 'Captain Fracasse' (1961), 'Sheherezade' (1963) and 'Living It Up' (1966).
Finnish composer Erkki Kurenniemi has died at the age of 75. Kurenniemi was a pioneer in the world of electronic music.
