CAA football is high quality football - - don't know why UMass alumni, students, and fans would be happier being 1-11 than playing meaningful and close games against New Hampshire, Delaware, Villanova, etc.

UMass won the national title in 1998 and went back to the title game in 2006. I don't know why they made the leap to FBS, the school isn't going to spend the money necessary on the stadium or the facilities required to compete. And yes, as a fan I'd much rather see the team play competitive games instead of getting blown out on a weekly basis. I miss the good old days, don't we all.
