It's stupid to make movies for the globe.
Different societies have different cultural standards.
A joke in the US is not received the same in China and vice versa.
Yet it was said the reason movies were getting dumber was because they wanted to make them understandable around the globe. In other words sell out Western audiences for a one size fits all agenda.
If these studios had to worry about competition, they would be in big trouble.
