Nothing wrong with Rosenthal’s Halloween 2 and where Carpenter took the sibling twist. Myers was destroyed at the end of it and that is where he should have stayed. That was the closure and it gave more motivation for Myers obsession in stalking to get to Laurie. Zombie also made a terrific sequel to his own turgid misfire using the bloodline scenario. It's a good excuse for a sequel, but it doesn't make Michael Myers more interesting or compelling. I prefer the idea of Michael as a force of nature, unstoppable evil. No motivation, just the urge to kill.
